Happy New Year 2006!

Well that year went quickly, didn't it?

A year since the last post on here and I don't think much has changed really. Still ensconced in the Heelan howff with the Vikings and Rowan the faithful hound. Still doing the daily commute to Inversnecky, with occasional work related trips to more exotic locations like Thurso and Possil for added glamour.
New Year was a much quieter affair this year, just Rowan and his faithful master keeping the home fires burning while the Vikings returned to the isles to immerse themselves in tattie soup, reestit mutton and the occasional hour of sobriety and/or sleep.
Upon picking the prop-weary travellers up from their nearly empty flight (who needs a private jet?) from Sumburgh to Dalcross it was heartening to see that they had missed some of the local luxuries whilst they'd been gone.
"We want a Burger King," came the cry.
A swift return to the darkened isles for Up-Helly-Aa had been planned, but it would seem that the Viking Queen may have had enough Shetlandic culture for a while, and has no burning desire for the fire festivities.
Shall we go?
Time will tell.

So have I become an annual blogger? Once again surely time will tell.
Until next time...
